Catching Fire: Parent-Child Reflection & Assessment
Spiritual hunger in children is often easier to overlook than parents realize.
This assessment is designed to help parents evaluate how well they recognize and nurture their child’s relationship with the Holy Spirit after completing Catching Fire. Parents will reflect on questions involving their child’s spiritual sensitivity, comfort with prayer, openness during worship, emotional honesty, ability to recognize God’s voice, and desire for closeness with the Lord.
Children will then be invited to answer many of the same questions for themselves, creating an opportunity for parents to discover areas where intimacy with God may be growing quietly or where deeper discipleship may still be needed.
This experience is intended to strengthen discernment, deepen spiritual conversations within the home, and help parents move beyond assumptions into intentional Spirit-led parenting.
Because sometimes the greatest growth begins when parents realize there is more happening in the heart of their child than they first understood.
