The secret place Assessment
2. This assessment helps parents discover how they are encouraging spiritual rhythms, prayer, worship, biblical meditation, and awareness of God’s presence within the everyday lives of their teenagers. Through guided reflection and intentional conversation, families will evaluate spiritual habits, emotional honesty with God, consistency in prayer, and the role faith currently plays within the home while identifying ways to help teens build a genuine and sustainable relationship with Christ.
God Can Smell Coffee — Family Book Club Experience
3. The Teen Pillar experience continues with a shared family book club journey through God Can Smell Coffee, creating space for meaningful conversations surrounding prayer, intimacy with God, spiritual awareness, identity, emotional honesty, and learning how to encounter God within ordinary life. In a generation often overwhelmed by noise, distraction, performance, and spiritual confusion, God Can Smell Coffee invites teenagers and parents alike into a deeper understanding of God’s nearness and personhood. Through relatable storytelling, spiritual reflection, and practical insight, the book explores what it means to encounter a God who is not distant or abstract, but deeply personal, attentive, and present within everyday moments. Rather than presenting faith as routine or obligation, the story challenges families to rediscover communion with God through simplicity, vulnerability, worship, stillness, and honest relationship. It helps teenagers understand that God desires closeness, conversation, and presence more than performance. The Family Book Club Experience helps parents and teens process these themes together through guided reflection, spiritual discussion, and intentional discipleship while creating rhythms within the home that encourage prayer, emotional openness, worship, and deeper awareness of God’s presence in everyday life.
4. Participate in CPA family gatherings and guided experiences where parents and children practice discipleship together through interactive activities, discussions, and moments intentionally designed to strengthen connection within the home.
