The Shape of a Soul: Helping Parents Teach and Understand the Human Soul

The soul is one of the most influential parts of a child’s development, yet many parents have never been taught how to understand it biblically.

The Shape of a Soul equips parents to understand the role of the soul through a Christ-centered lens and teaches them how to help their preteens navigate emotional, mental, and internal development with wisdom and truth.

This course focuses on helping families understand how the soul affects identity, relationships, reactions, desires, emotional health, and spiritual growth.

Parents will learn how to:

• Understand the biblical framework of the human soul
• Teach children how thoughts and emotions influence behavior
• Help preteens process emotions in healthy, godly ways
• Recognize unhealthy soul patterns before they take root
• Guide children toward emotional maturity and self-awareness
• Create environments where children feel safe, seen, and understood

Because healthy souls are not built through suppression, but through understanding, truth, and discipleship.
