The Way of Water: Parent-Child Reflection & Assessment
This reflection and assessment is designed to help parents evaluate not only how well they understood the principles taught in The Way of Water, but how deeply they understand the child God has entrusted to them.
Using the N.A.V.I.G.A.T.E. framework as a guide, parents will answer questions about their child’s fears, motivations, rhythms, strengths, emotional responses, spiritual curiosity, and sense of connection within the home. Afterward, children will be asked many of the same questions themselves, allowing parents to identify where understanding is accurate and where meaningful gaps may exist.
This assessment is not about grading perfection. It is about increasing awareness, strengthening connection, and helping parents grow as a steady compass for their children during the foundational years of discipleship.
By the end of this reflection experience, families will gain practical insight into how their home rhythms, communication, and discipleship practices are shaping the heart of their child.
